5 Spring Shoe Trends

There’s nothing I love more than a good pair of shoes, and spring provides a great opportunity for a shoe wardrobe refresh. I’ve teamed up with DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse to share 5 amazing spring shoe trends with you guys, and my take on how to style them. I hope you get some inspiration!

Athleisure

First up is the Athleisure shoe trend. This is a trend I’ve been loving lately as I’ve been dressing pretty casual whenever I can, and there’s nothing more comfortable than a pair of sneakers. I love these perforated faux-leather sneakers in all white as I think they give any outfit a fresh, updated look. I styled these with a pair of white skinny jeans, long bomber jacket, a distressed tee and a baseball cap.

Embellishment

It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of the embroidered trend, so what better way to incorporate it than through your shoes? I love these denim pumps with the embroidered heel because they are neutral enough to go with a ton of different outfit options, and the heel height makes them super comfortable. I styled these with a striped button up top, a denim skirt, and a baby pink handbag.

Minimalist Sandals

Every closet needs a pair of minimalist sandals for the inevitable weddings, baby showers, and even just the random fancy date night. In my opinion these are the most multi-functional style and I really believe that no closet is complete without a pair. I love the chunky heel of these, and chose black because I think it’s the easiest color to dress up or down for more versatility (though nude would be another awesome choice). I paired these with a little black dress — another closet piece that is a must.

Espadrille

This is definitely one of my favorite trends and I don’t see the espadrille trend going anywhere anytime soon. I chose these amazing platform gladiator espadrilles and OMG — talk about comfortable! Since the platform is very level, it’s almost like you’re wearing flats! If you’re on the petite side like me, you’ll love these as they are an opportunity to add a few inches without the drag of wearing heels all day. I styled these with an oversized t-shirt dress, a denim jacket, and my favorite vegan leather handbag.

Slides

You can’t go wrong with a good pair of slides. The convenience factor can’t be beat! I love being able to slip these on whenever I need to run out the door, and they still look super chic. I love the multi-tone and texture of these for some added interest and the blush tone is going to look amazing next to a good tan in the summer. I styled my slides with a sundress and a matching blush bag.

I would love to know which of the five trends is your favorite — so let me know down below! And be sure to check out DSW for some super cute affordable spring shoes!
