This coat is super lightweight but also it does provide a bit of warmth so it’s not totally pointless. It’s a bit dressier so I dressed it down with a casual t-shirt and ripped denim, but balanced it out with pointy toe shoes that have a tiny wedge heel. These shoes are perfect for those of you who like the look of a heel but not the added height… or those of you who can’t stand to ever wear flats because you like to always have a bit of a heel.
Happy Monday! Hopefully most of you have today off, since it’s a holiday weekend. We had a pretty eventful weekend — on Friday we went to see the movie Hail, Caesar! which was really good (kind of weird, but to be expected). If you like dry humor you will love it. On Saturday we organized the house and went up to LA for the evening to celebrate one of our best friends birthday. The night somehow ended at a thai food karaoke place, so you know it was a good night! Although really, even though we ate thai food at 2 in the morning, it was probably some of the best thai food Jesse and I had ever eaten. In case you were wondering, we did not participate in the karaoke…although we thought about it. On Sunday I had to do a little bit of working and then came back and we went to dinner at our new favorite vegan spot, Gratitude. They’ve had locations in LA and San Diego for awhile and finally made their way to OC…woo hoo!
On to the outfit… when thinking of what to wear, I am often thinking of outfits that can be layered to accommodate the changing weather. One day it will be 80 degrees and the next day 65 degrees where I’m at. That’s a big difference that makes it kind of hard to dress for. Not to mention it’s February still, so you still want to look winter appropriate.
