Fake Bake Tanning Body Butter Review

You guys know I’m a huge fan of the Fake Bake brand and use their products on a weekly basis.  I reviewed their tanning lotion here, and still absolutely love it.  I was thrilled to try their new Tanning Body Butter, which was created for dry skin during the winter months.

I’m an avid moisturizer in the winter months, and find myself constantly using face lotion and chapstick.   The Fake Bake body butter is equally addicting.  It is so soft, and goes on so smooth – providing easy application and minimal streaks (my pet peeve!).

I found that applying daily helped me maintain my tan, and gradually increased my tan.  I also found that it was much better to sleep on the tan and allow it to soak in for a longer amount of time before showering.
After reading lots of tanning lotion reviews, I decided I am sticking to this for the winter months over the tanning lotion because of the moisturizing qualities and because there’s really no need to be beach-body tan.  The body butter provides the perfect subtle tan so I look like I have a healthy glow in short sleeves and skirts when indoors.
If you love the idea of the lotion as much as I do, you can purchase it HERE for $21.
What moisturizing products do you use in the winter?  And do you guys use self tanner in the winter too or reserve it strictly for summer?

Note: This post is possible thanks to Fake Bake.  All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

I've never tried something like this before. I'm always worried that I'm going to ruin it and I will look so streaky!! I love how it darkens over time on you!

Wow! This sounds great and I'll need to try it. I use Jergens in winter but it's not moisturizing enough. Great post – I'm sold!

I am a year-round tanorexic (from a bottle, not a tanning bed, just to be clear). I just don't like my natural skin color at all. But I do need some extra moisture in the winter time (I like Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter) but I might have to check out this Fake Bake stuff to see if I can get my sunless tan and moisturizing all in one.

I like the gradual tan effect. I don't tan when I'm in the sun (I burn) so I definitely rely on tanning lotions to help develop a more sun-kissed tone! =)
