I’m sure you guys have seen the “five things” tag post going around the blogosphere. Well the very sweet and talented Tiffany from Tiffany Leigh Interior Design (you might remember her Room on a Budget here) tagged me! Here goes nothing…
1. I do not color my hair. You’d think working 2 years in a beauty supply store, and 4 years at a hair salon (in high school and college), I would have tried every color under the sun. The only color I’ve ever put in my hair was coral streaks about 4 years ago. Other than that, what you see is what you get. It’s certainly become a darker blonde over the years, so I’m interested to see how or if it changes in the future. (I’d love to be a brunette! The grass is always greener…)

2. I’m not a complete Californian. I actually was born and raised in Arkansas, and moved to California when I was 14. While Arkansas is a BEAUTIFUL state, I never really felt like I fit in there. I never had a group of “best friends” in Arkansas, but when I moved to California, I met my lifelong friends the first day of school. Plus, I’m a total beach gal. I’m my happiest when my toes are in the sand and the sun is on my face.
3. I am a HUGE animal lover & my whole family and I treat dogs like they are people. We have conversations with them, we get them birthday presents, we wrap Christmas presents, make songs about them, the list goes on. We also firmly believe they are much smarter than the world thinks. It creeped Jesse out a little at first, but I think he has learned to embrace it. (I catch him having conversations with Zoey).
4. I was on a British reality TV show. I had never been overseas before and it was a wonderful opportunity to live in England for over a month. It was certainly an experience, but I do not regret it. I met some amazing individuals who I will know for the rest of my life. I will also never see reality TV the same way.
5. I almost always take baths. I only take showers when I’m in a hurry or it’s not my own tub. I’ve always taken baths so it just feels normal to me. Plus, I use it as a chance to unwind and relax from my day. I’m the type of person who thrives under stress and my mind is always running, so I use it as an excuse to put my thoughts on mute.
