We certainly experience some June Gloom here in Southern California, and every now and again we’ll get quite the downpour of rain. I’ve certainly had my fair share of soggy shoes so needless to say I am really excited to add these floral rainboots to my wardrobe. There’s something so nice about being able to throw on a pair of rainboots and a raincoat and splash in some puddles without a care in the world.
The height of these boots is perfect for those of you who live in climates like mine, where it doesn’t rain on a regular basis. The calf-level height doesn’t scream “rainboots” (which I love).
I styled these with my favorite pair of grey denim and a ruffled sleeve tee. The important thing to keep in mind when styling rainboots, is to keep the rest of your outfit pretty fitted. I added a belt to emphasize the waistline, which keeps the look from looking too frumpy.
Adding a raincoat to the look is really the cherry on top and brings the whole look together. I love that this raincoat is something I can wear on a windy day, as it doesn’t scream “waterproof” even though it is. I love the subtle striped hood, and how it looks with the flowered boots.
I hope you are all having a fantastic week!
