Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend and are adjusting to the real world again! Jesse and I road-tripped it up to Northern California (where his family is) with the dogs and it was quite a fun adventure. We were able to stay longer than we normally are due to our work schedules, which was a real treat. It’s tough to get work off when you work for a corporation (more on this later), especially around the holidays and especially when you’re only given a set amount of vacation days. Needless to say, every Christmas before this one I was used to working either Christmas Eve or Christmas and not being able to get enough time off to actually enjoy time with family. The times spent with family are truly the times you should never take for granted, so we felt especially lucky this year.
I love being able to experiment with layers in the winter, and this trench vest was a no-brainer to dress up could have been an otherwise standard turtleneck and jeans look. My heels are olive green snakeskin and are SO much fun. Because the rest of the outfit was pretty neutral, I felt I could get away with more daring heels.
