I’d like to go ahead and thank whoever invented paperbag trousers because I think they’ve got to be one of the best silhouettes ever. It’s such a flattering cut as it hugs and accentuates the waist, which is the most slim part on most people. The high waist has an elongating effect which is perfect for those of us under 5’5″.
You’ll be seeing these trousers quite a bit on the blog this summer, but for this outfit I styled them with wrap-style tee from Amour Vert. I recently discovered Amour Vert as they opened up a store here in Orange County. When they reached out to me, I read a lot about the company and fell in love. With every tree you purchase, they plant a tree — including this one! How cool is that?! They focus on sustainable fashion using eco-friendly resources and all pieces are made in the US.
Something I’ve been focusing on more lately is buying less and buying higher quality pieces. I’m super tired of going through my closet at the end of each season and having to sort through the pieces that are no longer trendy and need to be sold or donated. I love that Amour Vert has a lot of timeless, basic pieces that will be in your wardrobe forever, and your money is supporting a good cause.
Whenever my outfit is mostly solid, I like to add in a print of some sort… which is when these mules come in handy. They’re the perfect pop of color and print that allow me to keep my outfit simple without being boring.
I hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead!
