I’ve been on the hunt for some chunky mirrored candleholders for a long time, and finally found them for $12 each at TJ Maxx. I got black candles for them because I thought there was something so sleek and dramatic about pairing the black with the mirror, and I love how it ties in the black leather couch.
I posted about my finding of the Target x-benches here, and my issue with tying them in here. I had originally thought pillows with a touch of coral would be the answer to my problem, but I’m starting to think I just don’t like the coral at all in this space. I would hate to buy pillows to tie them in, only to use the stools in a different spot in my next place, and have no need for coral pillows.
So what do you think? Do I try to tie in the coral still? Or do I tough it out until we eventually move? Or do I save up to have them re-upholstered in something more neutral? I looove a good snakeskin x-bench like so;

I say keep the stools the way they are for now. The feel of the room is so dramatic (in a good way! I love it) and the coral stools add a fun little pop!
