I’ll be sharing a slew of festival fashion posts with you guys over the next few weeks in the spirit of Coachella!  J and I are going for the first time this year (we’ve attended some of the big pool parties in the past, but never splurged on tickets – until now!)  We are both extremely excited and I have had so much fun outfit planning.

My first look is thanks to Lulu*s (one of my all-time favorite sites for affordable but unique clothing).   I was instantly drawn to this sunflower dress because of the bright happy colors and the flow-y, thin material which is perfect for the desert heat.  I paired it with a pair of desert booties because not only are they comfortable, but they keep your feet from getting inevitably dirty in the fields.  I’ve also heard you risk getting your feet stepped on during the shows, and sandals don’t offer much protection.

The final touch is my vintage Coach “The City” bag.  I’ve been wanting one for awhile, and when one showed up on eBay with a great price, I couldn’t refuse the opportunity.  I will definitely want my hands free at the festival, so this purse is perfect.  Not to mention it’s spacious and durable.
