4 Tips For Staying #ForeverYoung

I turned 25 this year, and you could say I have had a bit of a “quarter life crisis” – I know it seems silly but it’s true.  Priorities in my life have changed exponentially since I turned 25 and I’ve been concentrating on taking better care of myself (mentally and physically) – thoughts I should have had in my early 20’s and didn’t.  I thought I would share with you all what I’ve found most important…
1. Skincare

My co-worker and I were talking yesterday about how important skincare is in your 20’s and 30’s – it sets the bar for how your skin will be for the rest of your life.  She and I both admitted we were horrible to our skin in our teens and early 20’s and its something we both really value now.  In the past I made the mistake of always washing my face with drying acne face-washes and skipping moisturizer.  So bad for your skin!  Using a moisturizer nightly and daily has saved me from so many breakouts and wrinkles.  I’ve been loving this Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream – not only does it smell amazing, but I really do see some of the fine lines starting to fade away – especially on my forehead.

2. Fun Lipstick

There’s something so fun and youthful about a bright lipstick.  Since I work in a corporate environment, I tend to gravitate to safe colors and patterns with my wardrobe.  Putting on a bold, bright lip color during the day helps me feel more alive and more myself.

3. Fitness

I am not a work-out girl.  I was a dancer and cheerleader and that’s how I stayed in shape growing up, but there’s something about a smelly, cold gym that gives me the heebie jeebies.  For the longest time I would constantly avoid working out and it was not good for my mental or physical health.  I finally stuck to a New Years resolution this year and in January I started taking barre fitness classes, and I haven’t stopped ever since.  For me I found that a low impact, high results, group fitness workout was exactly what I needed.  I think the important thing is to find a workout that YOU love and that you will commit to.  It will do wonders for your skin, body, and mind.

4. Leisure

If you’re a work-a-holic like myself you’ll find this step extremely difficult.  I should probably take my own advice and do more of this.  I have seen first-hand in the faces of some of my older co-workers, that there’s nothing more aging than a high-stress job with a lack of leisure.  Make sure you treat yourself after a hard week of working and take some time to relax.  Just look at how easy Zoey makes it look – she’s a pro!

Olay is a worldwide leader in skin care and has been trusted by women for over 60 years, maintaining its founding philosophy: to maintain a deep understanding of women’s changing needs and to combine products that fit their needs with the latest advances in skin care technology. Regenerist was created along those lines to address women’s anti-aging needs, and millions of women have tried it and loved it, making Regenerist the #1 anti-aging moisturizer.*
