Life has been a little chaotic recently for me, and I’m sure we can all relate to feeling that at some point in time. I hope you don’t mind the sporadic posting schedule, as I’m working on getting things back on track and more regular. (Hence the topic of this post).
I happen to have a personality where I want to do it all, and I think that I can. If I commit to doing something new, I commit to it 150% and sometimes that leaves me feeling like I’m inadequate in other areas of my life (work, blog, friends, etc.) which can be pretty stressful at times. I’m working on finding that balance where I can do the things I love and still remain sane.
I left my desk job a couple of years ago and have done a lot of self-exploring during that time. I feel I’m finally at a place in life where I know exactly where I want to go with my career and life (more on that another time), so now I’m just focusing on what I can do to make things feel less crazy on a daily basis, while keeping my eyes on the prize.

This post is a little different as I usually only talk about my outfits, but I’d like to make this space a place where we can all discuss things together. I love talking about fashion but I think at a certain point you guys know why I wear what I wear and what I like about it… so I want to switch things up a bit. Let me know your thoughts?
Anyways, I’d love to know what works for you as far as finding that work/life balance? Is it a strict nighttime routine? Planning ahead?
Lately I’ve found that planning things far in advance seems to be really helpful, especially in the friend department. I’m super passionate about my friendships and they are one of the most special things to me. I’ll try to plan outings with friends weeks in advance so that I know if something pops up I can try to schedule around that. It seems to be working really well so far. (I’ll literally text a friend a month in advance — ‘what are you doing on the 26th?’ To make sure I can get them on my calendar. Seems weird, but it works.)
I also spend a lot of time in the car (hours a day) so I’ve found that listening to motivational podcasts has been really great since once I get to where I’m going, I feel ready to be productive and conquer the world. (I’ve really been loving Gary Vee and my girlfriend recently recommended The Influencer Podcast — but let me know below if you have a favorite podcast I should check out!)
A personal goal of mine is to start going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. I am a morning workout person so I would love to be able to wake up at 6AM, get my workout over with so I can finish the rest of the day without it hanging over my head.
Alright I think I’ve rambled on enough. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I’ll see you next time. XO

Yep, there’s only that much that we can do in a day and only that much of where and to whom we can dedicate our time and attention. I still have it hard in trying to find my balance but even just trying to get one is a step forward and being more organised does play a big role in getting there.
You’re looking gorgeous and sweet as always! 🙂

Thanks Natali! Totally agree, being organized is a HUGE role. I’m working on getting better at that every day. Hope you have a great Monday! 🙂
I love the shoes! Is this from Cicihot? Although I do not have the courage and confidence yet to wear something as pretty as this at work.
I find that planning everything (meals, workouts, friends, trips, etc) really helps me get everything accomplished. BUT there are definitely some days where I need to a refresh and just take a day to myself.
