It’s been awhile since I’ve done a skincare product review and I can attribute that to not finding something I’m 100% thrilled about. If it’s not good, and it’s not bad, I would hate to review something mediocre for you guys.
I was recently given the opportunity to try Luminance Skincare, which has officially become my everyday skincare line (I am hardly ever loyal to just one skincare brand, so that says a lot). When I read the about us page on the website I knew I needed to try the products ASAP. The line was started by Kim and his wife Priscilla from Silicon Valley – Priscilla became allergic to anything with synthetic fragrance (which can be found in almost all commercial skincare products) and he set out to create a non-toxic, vegan, organic skincare line which is now Luminance. They maintain the belief that anything you put on your face is quite literally eaten by your skin.
I love that belief and after using the line I am completely weirded out by how many chemicals are put into the things we put on our faces. Synthetic face cleansers won’t kill you, but they do encourage unpredictable skin.
I start out with the
face cleanser which has main ingredients such as coconut, apricot kernel, macadamia, avocado and more. I can’t really explain the smell in words, but it is a very fresh, clean smell and very non-chemical. I didn’t realize how much my other face washes had a chemical-like smell to them until I tried an all-natural one.
I then spray my face with the
rosewater toner which smells like fresh roses. It is honestly the best smell and I find myself spraying it on my face just for the sake of smelling it sometimes. The toner’s goal is to serve as a pH adjustment since tap water can sometimes be too alkaline for the skin. I will also spray this on before I do my make-up and it helps my makeup blend and settle so much easier.
I finish with the
hydration face moisturizer which is really light so I feel like I can put it on in the morning and it won’t make me greasy or oily.
The combination of these three products over the past month have been life changing. I haven’t seen my skin this clear since before puberty (I still have a couple of buggy pimples but they are on their way out I can feel it!). To be honest, really don’t see myself going back to a drugstore face wash after using the line – as I said earlier, I am now really freaked out about the idea of putting chemicals on your skin to absorb.
Right now they have a
holiday gift box deal where you can get mini sizes of all three for only $35! I think that’s a perfect starter box because I know it’s hard to commit to a skincare line you’ve never tried before. If you guys give it a go let me know and report back with your results!
P.S. You can get 20% off with code CHAMPAGNE
Thank you to Luminance Skincare for providing me with the products to test out. All opinions are 100% my own.
this looks really nice!

great review
I just ordered the facial cleanser, rose toner, and eye cream! I swear by colloidal silver soap on my face for washing and coconut oil for moisturizing. I think these products will complement them perfectly. Thanks for sharing and for the discount code!
these look like great products!

What a great review!!
Great review, VERY helpful.
I need a good moisturizer for my fussy skin but they all have SO MUCH STUFF in them, totally unnecessary.
Thanks! I'm so glad you found it helpful! Let me know if you try it out. I still can't get on board with any other skincare line. Everything so far breaks me out and this is the only stuff that brings my skin back to normal.
Nice post. I learn something more challenging on different blogs everyday. It will always be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice a little something from their store. I’d prefer to use some with the content on my blog whether you don’t mind. I’ll give you a link on your web blog. I recently came to know about http://www.avanaaustralia.com, their Organic Skincare products are very effective.
Organic Skincare Thanks for sharing.
