My workwear wardrobe has been lacking a classic pantsuit. I have plenty of crisp blouses, pencil skirts, and dresses, but did not have a single matching blazer and pair of pants. I am sort of appalled I didn’t invest in a good pantsuit earlier in my career. I’m a firm believer that the way you dress sends a message, and I recently wore this to an important meeting. Being young, blonde, and female certainly comes with an extra challenge in life as stereotypes work against you to send a message that you aren’t serious. A crisp, classic pantsuit certainly sends a message that you are serious, and also that you value the person or persons you are meeting enough to dress up for them. The suit has, for better or worse, become a symbol of success.
I paired mine with a peplum top because I felt that because the pants were not super fitted, the top should be more fitted so as to not look sloppy. I kept my accessories minimal with a sleek gold belt I got months ago from a Zara sale, and my classic gold Michael Kors watch. I loved the simplistic, modern pattern of the pantsuit and did not want to distract from that with a bunch of accessories.
Do you guys feel the same way about sending a message with your choice of attire?
P.S. I also wanted to share with you guys that I’m taking the “2 Weeks To Your Whitest Smile” challenge with Crest 3D White. I’ll be using the new Crest 3D White®Whitestrips Luxe

Here is my “before” smile shot:
I totally feel the same way that you clothes send a message to people. When I work out side of the home. I would sit in on interview and wonder what people were thinking with the outfit they picked.
An outfit really can set the tone. Love this peplum top!

Nice look. As they say, fake it until you make. Dress for the role you want to have, at least that's what I tell our interns. You look great. This is such a nice polished look. You'll be SVP in no time.
