It’s my opinion that every closet needs a classy pair of boots for a rainy day.  We don’t get rain often in Southern California — but believe it or not, that is all the more reason to have a good pair of rain boots!  The city streets are not built for good drainage, so you can bet your feet and the bottom of your pants will be unavoidably soaked should you decide to venture out.  There’s not many things worse than cold, wet feet, so I’ve really found value in a good pair of rain boots.

It’s hard to resist cozy sweats on rainy days, but if you’re looking for something that looks polished without compromising comfort, this chambray top and (incredibly comfortable) Paige denim jeans will do just that.  Because the boots make such a statement (I mean, could rain boots with bows be any cuter?) I let them do the talking and paired them with simple pieces and a monochromatic color scheme.

Finally, top off your rainy day look with a good-quality vegan bag.  I love a good leather bag, but it’s not practical in the rain!  This bag won’t get ruined and is just as chic as my designer leather bags.
