Fall Investment Bags You Need In Your Closet

Owning a designer or high-quality bag isn’t unattainable. If you think of it in terms of buying one bag for each season (fall, winter, spring, summer) you can save a bit each month (depending on your budget) to get a bag you really like to last you for the season. In doing so, you eliminate the clutter of owning a bunch of bags of which only a few get used. You also invest in pieces that will last you not only one season, but many seasons to come.
It took me far too long to figure this out and I wasted a lot of money buying bags on sale just simply because they were on sale.
Do you follow this philosophy as well?

I'm a sucker for chain-strap purses and burgundy, so that Rebecca Minkoff bag needs to get in my closet! The price is great too! Thanks for sharing 🙂

    xo honestly, b.

I definitely try and save my money to spend on classic purses with good material like leather or suede. This way if I'm spending big $ on a bag, I know it won't go out of style next year. You had some great picks.

I totally agree with you. I look at classic shoes and staple clothing pieces this way too…I'd rather invest in high quality pieces that won't go out of style!

Totally agree about saving up to buy investment pieces – especially handbags! Sometimes when I think about all the bags and shoes that I bought at "trendy" stores, and how I only wore them a few times, I feel like I probably should have just not spent the money and instead used it to buy a nice Chanel bag or a Kate Spade, or a Phillip Lim like the one you featured :]

I am really liking the shape of the w bags… but I think I need to find them at a more chic price point!

This does make sense… however it's sooo difficult to chose one and also so difficult to not pick up anything else on the way!

The Kate Spade and Posen one are my favourite! They are definitely worth the investment! I'll be doing that for next Fall for sure! x

definitely agree with your theory on investing a great bag instead of buying lots of cheap ones. I'm lusting after that kate spade bow bag!

    Great post!

Yes! I'm saving for my first true investment bag and I can't wait (I'm determined to get the Celine Luggage or Pashli!) Totally worth it in my opinion.

Great choices! Love them all! I'm currently saving for my investment bag. Can't decide if I want it to be a Celine or Chanel. In the meantime I'll keep saving!

I TOTALLY agree that one needs an investment bag, always get my money out of it. I would love to have a Black and White Prada this fall, but it will probably end up being a black and white Michael Kors. ;-/
