A DIY Christmas: Mustache Mugs

Here’s a DIY gift for the coffee lover in your life, that definitely won’t break the bank.
You will need a mug,  I got mine from Ikea for $1.49 a piece.  I used Martha Stewart acrylic paint I had on hand, but it is no more than $3 at your local craft store.

Then, decide what sort of mustache you want to do. I chose fumanchu and a french mustache. I just googled both mustache names to get a template to go off of. I did it by eye, but you could always print it, cut it out, and make a stencil for yourself. I sort of prefer the hand-painted look though!

Then, add some tartan ribbon, and maybe the person’s favorite coffee or hot cocoa and you are done!

Easy, cheap, and oh so fun I might add.

P.S. Today is the last day to enter the giveaway to win $50 to Williams Sonoma — HERE.
P.P.S. I made a Facebook Page for my blog… and it would mean the world if you gave it a little likesy!  Also, if you have a page for your blog let me know so I can return the favor!

Cute 🙂 there is also glass paint & glass paint pens out there that you bake on so it stays permanent. Works on porcelain as well!

Thanks for the tip, Sam! I've used this acrylic paint on quite a bit of dishware, and after sitting for 24 hours it cures and becomes dishwasher safe! I will have to try the glass paint pens too!
