I am a skincare junkie and will try just about any product there is, so when I was given the opportunity to try Abeeco’s Bee Venom Mask, I naturally obliged.
Abeeco Bee Venom Mask is a skincare product that “combines natural elements of New Zealand Bee Venom and Manuka Honey to naturally lift and firm the skin, eliminating the need for cosmetic injections or fillers”.
I know what you’re thinking – someone my age does not need to look for a replacement for injections or fillers. I say it’s never to early to start thinking about anti-aging products; especially moisturizing products.
The mask comes with a nifty little spreader which I found to be very thoughtful on Abeeco’s end. Most of my moisturizing products are in pots like this one, and I’ve read about how they aren’t so sanitary when you’re sticking your fingers into the pot. I always make sure to wash my hands, but this makes things a little easier. Upon spreading the product onto my face, I felt a stinging sensation, followed by a tightening sensation. (According to the instructions this is normal, as the bee venom is supposed to trick your skin into thinking it’s been stung). I like when skincare products have a very prominent feeling like this one – it makes me think it’s working.
You can either leave it on for 20 minutes and wash it off, or wear it overnight as a night mask. I like the night mask better – less to think about.
I certainly think it helps tighten the skin, as the next day my face felt tighter than normal (I could feel it when I smiled).
The downside? It doesn’t have the greatest smell. I guess you could compare it to pollen. It doesn’t smell bad… but it’s not very fragrancy. That being said, that’s a small factor when considering skincare products.
I am eager to see long-term effects and will be sure to share my thoughts in the future for anyone who is interested! In the meantime, if you are interested in purchasing – you can find it here for $69.99.
I’m interested to know, what do you use for anti-aging and skincare? Like I said – I’m always on the hunt for new products!
great review
Sounds great! My mom has been telling me to get a lotion or something before I the 30 mark, she says I should help my skin before is too late and this sounds just perfect! I think I can handle the no essence thing just well, thanks for the review.
