Anyways, Birchbox has been floating around the blogosphere for awhile now, but I’m here to inform you who have yet to be informed, and give you the low-down.
It may be the month of Christmas, but I get Christmas EVERY month because of one beautiful little pink box. Behold:
Basically you pay $10 a month, and you get a box of 5 HIGH QUALITY samples of beauty products. I have cut out eating out once a month so that I can afford to pay for this…and honestly it is WAY more worth it for me to have this than a meal out that I may not even like that much.
I see this as an investment, for saving money in the long run. How many times have you looked at the bottle of a beauty product, thought it might be nice for you, and purchased it, only to find out you hate it? I’ve done this way too many times and then the products literally sit and rot under my bathroom sink. Literally. It is such a waste of money. Birchbox allows you to try the product, and if you love it, you can purchase it on their website.
Here’s where it gets really neat. For every friend you recommend, you recieve 50 points, and for every product you review, you recieve 10 points. For every 100 points, you get $10 in Birchbox money to go toward a product. (Some of the products are as low as $12 so you’re basically getting the product for free.) Basically, if you’re really convincing to your friends, you could get some free swag.
I got my second Birchbox in the mail yesterday, and needless to say it’s my sunshine on a cloudy day. My fave product in this month’s box is this Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox Pink.
I love lip gloss but the cheap ones always ball up on my lips. This does not, and it give a sheer glossy tint that you can layer for darker color. Plus, after it wears off your lips feel moisturized as if they had Chapstick on them.
So what do you think? Worth the $10?

I'm subscribed to the uk equivalent called 'glossy box' I love it. So worth the money, plus it's fun to try out things I wouldn't normally use.
