We’re barely getting into spring fashion but I can already tell that the denim skirt is going to be on heavy rotation for me. I do love a good classic pair of denim shorts — especially when the weather gets too hot to handle — but there’s something elevated and a little more classy about denim in a skirt version.
I’ve been loving the more pencil shaped skirts, but as I’ve mentioned before I’ve got a pretty straight body type and things that are super form fitting don’t suit me. (I also just don’t feel as comfortable in them which I think is just as important). This particular denim skirt has a slight a-line shape that’s super subtle, but gives you that pencil-shape look with a little more of a flare at the bottom for some added shape.
Top: H&M | Skirt: ASOS | Booties: Steve Madden (vegan in velvet only) | Bag: River Island | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Watch: Armani Exchange
Whenever the majority of my outfit is solid colored, I like to add a subtle touch of prints. I did this through the leopard belt (which to me, is a neutral and goes with everything), and the embroidered bag. You guys — this bag is fantastic. I get compliments on it everywhere I go and I think it’s deserved. It’s one of those pieces that is the cherry on top to any outfit — and believe me, it goes with more things than you would think!
I hope you all are having an amazing week so far, and thanks so much for stopping by!
