Happy first Tuesday of the New Year! I know it’s the first day back to work for a lot of you, so I hope you have a great day filled with positive energy. For those of you who are Bachelor fans, one of my sweet friends Sarah is on the show! We had a launch party last night and watched it with all of our friends and of course Sarah herself, and it was a blast. If you’re not following her — you should because she’s an absolute doll and is going to be so much fun to watch this season!
Onto the outfit — I’ve been wanting a metallic midi skirt for months now but couldn’t find one that worked with my shorter frame (I’m 5’3″ for reference). Every skirt I found was too long or too overpowering. I wasn’t even intentionally looking for an affordable one, but was so excited to find this one for under $25, that fits perfectly. I also love that the gold color is a more antique-y type shade rather than a super bright, in your face type of gold. You guys know I love to mix feminine pieces with less-feminine pieces so I had to dress it down with a leather jacket and some booties. That being said, this skirt would be darling with a striped sweater as well.

I bought this same skirt and wore it with an animal print top paired with a flannel top underneath! I too love wearing casual pieces with more feminine pieces!
