As you guys know, I am a woman on the go. Not only do I work a full time job during the week, I’m also attending school to get a credential, as well as sharing bits and pieces of my life on this little blog here. I love every part of my life and wouldn’t change it for the world, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t hectic at times.
Luckily, technology has made it possible for me to do it all in a timely manner. I couldn’t imagine how much more stressed I would be if I didn’t have various pieces of technology to get things done on the go.
I had the opportunity to try out the Intel powered Dell Venue 8 7000 series tablet it’s really been a game changer for me as far as blogging on the go is concerned. I work during the day and go straight to working out after I get off. I am usually at my gym 30 minutes to an hour early, so I find myself sitting in my car playing on my phone. With the Dell Venue 8 7000 series tablet, I’ve been able to sit in my car and edit photos for blog posts or social shares, as well as curate a blog post while on the go. What would normally be 30 minutes to an hour of wasted time, has now become super productive.
My favorite feature of this tablet is that it syncs to your Dropbox. That’s crucial for someone like me who has photos all over the place. I have photos on my computer, my camera, and my phone, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought about a photo I wanted to share and it was at home on my computer. The fact that the tablet syncs to Dropbox makes it so easy to have all of my photos available to me whenever I want.
I didn’t expect much from the camera since I am so picky about quality, but I was really surprised at how good the photos were. There are three cameras, so no matter where you focus your lens when you snap a picture, you can re-focus afterward to highlight any section of the image you want. You can blur the foreground or background, filter shades from black and white to color, or adjust contrast and brightness.
The tablet is super thin so I can throw it in my already massively heavy purse and not have to worry about it weighing me down. I’m sitting here writing this and wondering why I hadn’t thought I needed something like this in my life earlier! I love my little phone but it can only take so much.
