Little Things.

Sometimes even the littlest things can feel like an indulgence.  Right after I graduated college and got licensed in my field of work, I strangely wanted a magazine subscription.  Something that would be delivered to my door that would give me some “me time”.  It had been awhile since I read anything but a textbook.
I picked up this Glamour subscription during a deal they had going with Forever21 where you get a year’s subscription for $12.  I had to do it.  You can still get a year for $12 and a tote here.  I still get so excited when I see it in my mailbox.
I don’t wear red nail polish often, but I do like to have it around as an option.  This Wet & Wild version was only $1.99, and so far it has stayed on just as long as my Essie and OPI polishes.
And finally, nothing makes me feel more glamorous than a new shade of lipstick.  I saw this color (picture doesn’t justify) and knew I had to add it to my collection.  It’s the Maybelline Color Sensationals Collection in Vivid Rose ($5.49), and it’s the perfect bright pink without being neon.
Have you “indulged” in a little thing lately?  Do share!
xoxo,
H

P.S.  A big congratulations to my sweet friend Holly for launching her new store, GlamourMash The Shop today!  You guys should definitely go give her some love, the store has the cutest geometric necklaces!  (Oh and stick around… we’ll be seeing more from Holly this Wednesday!)

There's nothing like a little at home pampering to relieve stress and relax a bit. I love putting on a face mask, having a cup of coffee and reading a good book!

Glamour is my favorite! Such a perfect little pick-me-up when I see it in my mailbox. And you can get it and other magazines at such great prices! A buck a magazine? Sounds good to me!

Totes agree. The little things can make all the difference. A Starbucks Iced Grande Soy Chai always makes me happy 🙂 Btw, LOVE Hollys new shop!

I was strangely addicted to getting magazines (esp Glamour) after college too. I think it was getting it to my own house that I paid for made it special. My indulgence is essie nail polish and VS underwear, you can never have too much of either 😉

Recently, I bought two $6 notebooks, one in black and one in red, that came with a built-in page marker and a little elastic strap instead of the $1 each notebooks I tend to buy when they are on sale at Staples or Office Depot.

Oh, Hannah, you are the BEST! Thank you for the shoutout! I am with you on the little things. I recently bought several subscriptions from my coworker's kids- they are so cute I couldn't resist. It is a total treat to come home on a Thuersday evening every week knowing it's my time with People Magazine. Boy knows to leave me be too 😉

You are so right! The little things can go a long way. I'm used to sign up for one of those $10/month beauty subscriptions (and I am thinking about doing it again) just because it's so nice to get that surprise each month… that little indulgence. 🙂

Oh, Glamour is my favorite! When I sign a new lease I'm definitely signing up for a subscription. I used to have one in high school and it was the best.
