It seems to me that my closet is always a source of chaos. I just have way too many clothing pieces, accessories, and shoes,
I originally had my shoes under the bed, (we have a bed with built in drawers) but I felt as though I couldn’t SEE everything I own. Out of sight, out of mind. I did a little switcheroo and put some shorts and skirts and athletic clothes in the drawer, and bought this shoe rack from the container store for $29.99.
I’m going to be completely honest with you about the product because I know it might not work for everyone’s closet. It is a $29.99 shoe rack. And it looks like one. And it feels like one. But I’m okay with that. As a renter, I can’t possibly predict what my next closet will be like and I have a hard time spending more than $30 on something that may not be used in the future.
It is flimsy, was hard to put together, (we made a lot of noise and definitely got some broomsticks from downstairs neighbors) and fell apart a few times after it was built. But now, it’s on carpet, in its rightful place and it seems to be holding up really well.
It holds 30 shoes.
Also note my hanging hooks on the side… they are home to my necklaces. Each set of hooks was $2.50 each and it has been a tremendous help when getting ready in the morning. Blouse…necklace… blouse…necklace. You see where I’m going with this.
What keeps your closet organized? I’d love to hear your tips & tricks!

I reallllyyyy need some necklace hooks in my life!,
That shoe holder looks great and I totally get with only spending the $30. When I had my own apt I did the same. Whatever it takes to keep everything well organized and it looks good!
