This weekend was my sorority little sister’s 22nd birthday, so my big sis and I ventured to San Diego to celebrate all weekend with her and her family.
We started off with The Color Run 5K marathon at Qualcomm Stadium .

If you haven’t heard of The Color Run, find out more information here and see when it’s coming to a city near you!
Each race pairs up with a different charity, which is were your race fee goes. I couldn’t think of a more amazing way to give back than to get some exercise, and run through clouds of color with your best friends.
If you do decide to go I have some tips:
1. wear sunglasses or goggles
2. It’d be a good idea to tie a bandana around your neck so you don’t breath in as much powder.
3. Save your color packet for the end… so many people wasted their packets early on.
4. Stay for the after party! (That’s when the colors start to get crazy!)
Mama Cheryl (who, is a queen crafter and needs a blog herself) made some delicious banana cream pie. Naturally, we indulged along with champagne and baby videos of Kristen.
On Sunday we did a beer and chocolate tasting at Stone Brewery.
There were 10 tastings of beer and 10 truffles, each truffle and beer with their own unique flavor… with everything from cumin to green tea, to sage, and parsley. It was educational and delicious.

Needless to say, I am feeling very thankful for such amazing friends and fun-filled weekends!
