No Bake Cookies Recipe

I feel as if I am revealing a secret but-not-so-secret recipe to you guys by posting this…but its too good not to share! I have been making this recipe since I was about 13 years old and I’d like to consider myself a chef for being able to tackle it. No but in all actuality…I do not lie when I say it’s really easy. I present to you: No Bake Cookies!

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk (I used almond milk for mah lactose intolerance)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

-NOTE: You buy these ingredients ONE time and you will literally be making no-bake cookies for a year. Or longer, depending how often you want to make them. They are SO cheap and other than the milk and butter they never go bad.

-First, put the sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa powder in a pot and bring it to a boil.

-Only boil for ONE AND A HALF minutes. If you do it any longer, they won’t be as good, and the cocoa could burn.

-Once boiled, remove from heat, and QUICKLY add in the oats, peanut butter, and vanilla extract.

-Stir, and then drop spoonfuls of it onto wax paper, and let harden. (No need to put in the fridge.)

-And that is it my friends!

Yes… I am aware they look like something that might come out of an animal but I failed to take a picture of them on a pretty plate…and WHO CARES! They are really really really good.

Take my word for it. And try it out. Because it’s really easy. And delicious. And alas my secret is out.

xoxo,

Hannah
