Project Office DIY: Pom Pom Drapes

The office has a tiny window that barely merits the need for a drape, but due to my absolute hatred of vertical apartment blinds (see here), a drape was a must.
Luckily I had a leftover Ikea Lenda panel hanging about and I knew the white panel would be the perfect contrast against the grey wall.  Even better contrast?  Black pom pom fringe.
This DIY is so easy that there’s really no tutorial for it.  My only tip is that before you glue the pom pom fringe on, curl under the edge of the fringe and hand-sew it to the curtain to prevent any fringing and keep it secure. Then glue the rest.  I can attest that the glue has held up spectacular for me.
Supplies:
Black Pom Pom Fringe – 6 yards (enough for one panel) $34.83 total
One of the Ikea Lenda Panels – $10 ($20 for the pack of 2)
Fabritac – $5.50 (I recommend buying form Michael’s or JoAnn’s with a 40% off coupon)

And there you have it… custom drapes for less than $50
DIY is a beautiful thing my friends.
