What’s In My Bag

I love seeing what other people carry in their bags, so I thought I would share with you all what’s in my bag.  I’ve been carrying the Kate Spade Claremont Drive Marcella quite awhile now and I STILL love it today if not more than the first day I bought it.  (Check out my review for it here).  It’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.  The blue color is no longer available but if I were to buy a second one, I would absolutely get the black version.

I can sometimes work 9 hour plus work days, so it’s crucial I have all the necessities to freshen up throughout out the day.  If you have an office job, you know what I mean.  Spending hours in one singular spot can take a toll on your energy and your looks.

We have hot coffee available at my work, but there’s something really off-putting to me about drinking hot coffee in the summer time.  I’ll keep a few Bottled Starbucks® Iced Coffees in my fridge to grab and go on my way out the door to work.  I’ll drink this after lunch for an extra boost of energy. I can often feel lethargic after lunch, so the Bottled Starbucks® Iced Coffee helps me feel refreshed and energized.

I have my Graphic Image journal, and my calendar from Target on me at all times.  I’m always needing to write something down, and I think writing it down in a journal helps keep things organized.  Any time I write something on loose paper I lose it in the depth of my purse, or it falls out, or I forget about it.

A quick and easy way to feel refreshed in the middle of a long day is by brushing your hair.  If you’re like me, your hair gets super tangled throughout the day which can make it look frizzy and not as sleek as when you left that morning.  A quick brush with my favorite Wet Brush can fix that in a snap.

If I had to pick only 2 makeup items to wear forever, it would be mascara and lipstick.  That being said, if you use a waterproof mascara, you most likely won’t have to re-apply that at all during the day.  Blush is a different story – I’m not sure if my skin eats it or what, but a little over halfway through the day, I’ll notice a lot of color drains from my face.  A quick swipe of blush (this is Milani Baked Blush in Corallina), and a tinted lip balm or lipstick (L’Oreal Colour Riche in Fiery Veil) makes all the difference.

Finally, a travel sized perfume is my life saver.  It instantly makes me feel clean and refreshed, and I’ve found myself being so happy I have one in my purse at all times on multiple occasions.  This is L’Occitane Gardenia, and it’s a really pretty, delicate floral smell that isn’t overpowering.
