Welcome to one of my favorite rooms in the house, and where I take many a nap… the bedroom!  My mom and I designed the headboard a couple years ago when Jesse and I moved in, and I wanted it to be the most extravagant piece in the room.  I painted the walls white (they were formally a mint) so the bed stood out even more.
I am in love with the color peacock blue, and if you’ve been following me for awhile you know it was the color of our bedroom in our first “real” apartment.  It’s a color I never get sick of, and it pairs gorgeously with my all time favorite accent color, gold.  I had a very simple palette of black, white, and gold in here for the longest time until I felt the room needed some warmth.  This rug was the last purchase to go in the room and it has really brought it all together.  (Side note: I am a total fluffy rug type of gal, but this rug is so silky and soft underfoot that I just might be converted!)
On the to-do list for this room is to add some architectural molding on either one or all of the walls.  If you follow me on pinterest, you might see I have a thing for that look.
I hope you guys enjoyed this peek into our bedroom, and stay tuned for more home decor posts!

I am in love with this design and have used it as inspiration for my bedroom. Could you give any ideas or suggestions for curtains? I am stuck!
