The people over at Lamps.com were kind enough to send us a lamp for our office. J spends a lot of time working into the wee hours of the night, so it makes sense for him to have some lighting on his desk.
There were sooo many amazing lamps that it was really difficult to choose, but I thought this one was glam while staying a bit on the masculine side. (Although every time I say something is masculine to J I get a side-eye, so my perception might not be the best! It’s not pink at least!) I also love how oversized it is. It’s really become the focal piece of the room.
My little desk also doubles as a vanity so if I’m being honest, most of the time it is a “get ready” station rather than a desk. In a one bathroom apartment though, it’s pretty crucial.
I know most people don’t love rugs on carpet, but I just don’t love carpet. At all. And as a renter I really have no choice but to put up with it. So I’d rather cover it up with a rug. It makes it feel more cozy as well – I couldn’t imagine my apartment without my rugs.
What an adorable office! I love that it is both masculine and feminine at the same time!
