DIY Handpainted Wine Glass

I have been wanting to try a wine glass DIY for awhile now. With one of my best friend’s birthday approaching, I knew it was the perfect present for her. I did some investigating and found that if you use the Martha Stewart Acrylic paints, and let them set for over 24 hours, they become dishwasher safe!
You will need:
-Martha Stewart Craft Acrylic paint
-Paintbrushes
-Wine Glass
-A picture you want to serve as your stencil

I simply duct-taped the picture to the inside of the wine glass, and painted over the design on the outside of the glass.

For the bottom part, I painted gold on the underneath side of the wine glass.  I also hand painted a “K” for Kaitlyn, and was too afraid to try and attempt any other free-handed letters.  (P.S. if you didn’t catch Kaitlyn’s DIY on my blog, find it here.)

Zoey liked it so much she wanted a “Z” glass for herself.

So there you have it!  An easy peasy (and fun) project, and the perfect gift for your favorite wino!

Cute! I did a similar glass for Christmas presents but used chalkboard paint on the base of the glass so you can write guests names on them- it was a hit!

That is such a good idea to tape the picture to the inside of the glass as a stencil! Great DIY 🙂
