It’s officially Friday and we’ve made it through the week!  Woo hoo!
Today I wanted to share a peek into my master bathroom with you guys.  The vanity that you see is somewhat open to the master bedroom, closed off a tiny bit by a doorway, which is why you see wood floors.  It is separate from the shower and toilet, which is not something I would have done had I built the place from scratch, but honestly I don’t hate it.  It makes the room feel much bigger and also the separation is quite nice when there is two of you getting ready at the same time.
When we moved in, the entire room was a minty green color… and not a pretty minty green, more like a minty green your grandma would have picked out.  Lucky for me the vanity was already there complete with gold fixtures.  Again, probably not what I would have picked out but I do LOVE it, and if it’s not broke, why fix it?
Working with what I had, we added my favorite wallpaper pattern, David Hicks La Fiorentina from Wallpaper Direct.  It was relatively affordable considering we only needed a small amount.  The colors matched perfectly with the existing counters, and since the bedroom is white and filled with colorful furniture and accents, the neutral wallpaper is exactly what we needed.
My mirror was a lucky West Elm sale purchase, and they no longer carry it (you can get a similar version here).  I love how the chevron trim played off the diamond pattern, and of course the brass was a perfect complement.  I had originally thought I wanted a black mirror for some contrast, but decided to bring in the contrast with some accessories instead, (minus the gold soap dispenser which is an extremely awesome budget buy).
I hope you enjoyed this small peek into my bathroom, and stay tuned for more home decor posts!
Hope you have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

I love your wallpaper! I'm all about gold decor but need to keep it in check since I live with my boyfriend – this is the perfect balance of what I love and what he wants! Thanks for sharing!

Haha I hear ya girl! I was cut off from adding any more gold awhile ago. This is definitely on the more "glam" side for the BF but I think (and hope) the neutral colors help tone it down a bit!
