Ever since I showed you guys Jonathan Adler’s makeover of the Fashion Police set, I knew I needed to incorporate acid green into my decor. You all probably didn’t think I’d actually do it, huh?
Well I did!
This is the story of a pair of side tables that once looked like this:
So sad, so boring…so monochromatic.
They were destined to become acid green. To add some dimension, we bought some molding at Lowe’s.
To cut the molding to size we used a mitre box, that we were able to get for about $7.99. You could just use a normal saw, but we wanted the molding to come together at a nice point.
Handy man 🙂
Once the pieces were cut, we used wood glue to glue them on. Make sure if you are doing this indoors you lay some paper down in case the glue drips!
Make sure you sand down your surface and prime it before you paint it the color you want.
This is the spray paint we used… perfect color… but not the best brand if I’m being honest. It took about 3 cans!
Annnnd the finished product…
And they lived happily ever after! The leopard pillows had to find a new home, but that’s okay!
Now to find some art for above the couch!
xoxo,
H
Love it! You need to come over to my house and do some DIY stuff for me 🙂
looove these! that color is amazing
such a nice pop of color!
How fun!!!
I love using bright colors to decorate. Best of all, when you're tired of one color, it's super easy to spray paint a different coat :]
awesome DIY!

Okay, that's impressive! I LOVE it!
Don't you hate decorating and having to wait for it to all come together? I'm so impatient when it comes to that… I want everything decorated and hung in one day… You're making great progress and your place looks awesome!!

This is an awesome DIY! I've never seen one of those miter saw/box things, but it looks much easier than I ever imagined. I might have to get one of those and work on some DIY'ing 🙂 Love the fun that the green adds, too!
