My favorite room in the apartment is our bedroom. It is the first bedroom I’ve ever had where there’s no TV; I feel like because of that, there are no distractions and it is such a calm space to be. It is the perfect place to curl up and read a book, the most quiet place to nap, and the perfect spot to do all of my outfit planning and organizing.
It’s also the only room in the house that I feel is “complete”. There’s really nothing I would do to change the decor, which is very rare with my design ADD.
Almost everything in it is DIY… my headboard, my hotel bedding, my wall, my dressers, and my lamps that I refurbished. I think that could coincide with the love I have for the room, because most of it was done with a lot of work and TLC. Here was my very first moodboard for the room, and I think I stayed pretty true to my vision for the first time. I guess what they say is true…go with your gut!
