Top: Nordstrom | Skirt: Kelly Wearstler (old, but I’ve linked my favorite denim pencil skirts below!) | Shoes: Kendall & Kylie (old – love these) | Bag: Louis Vuitton | Earrings: Topshop | Bracelets: Ford Designs c/o (Get 20% off with code SUNSHINE20)
Did you guys have a good Memorial Day weekend? Unfortunately we had absolutely no sunshine in Orange County so I spent a lot of time inside. On the plus side, I was able to get a lot of spring cleaning done…8 trash bags to Goodwill clean!
I think if the weather is gloomy, or if you’re in a bad mood, there’s nothing that can turn it around more than a bright outfit. I’ve had this Kelly Wearstler skirt for awhile and have been waiting for warmer weather before I busted it out. This coral shirt from Nordstrom matched perfectly, so while I had originally envisioned wearing this skirt with a black tank top, I loved how the bright top just made everything pop. (Side note: this top is reading especially orange in these pictures but it’s a little closer to the coral color in my skirt in person – a little more pink than orange!)
I’m also getting the feeling that the denim skirt is making a comeback, don’t you? I thought I had officially kissed them goodbye in the 90’s, but they are definitely having a moment again. I think they are especially flattering in pencil form, and if the right length, look very classic.
Thanks for reading!
