There is a story behind this garden stool. My garden stool obsession started long ago, and I knew I wanted one in my new place. Unfortunately, they can be quite pricey like this one at $106. I refuse!!!!!!
So I did some major etsy/ebay/craigslist hunting and couldn’t find “the one.” I found a few for around $40, but they were the UGLIEST brown/green color.
Strolling through Ross I found the beauty below. I had to have it. It was right around Christmas, so J said I should wait. He swore it would be there still. I left…and literally had daydreams about it. Freaky, I know. I was convinced someone else would have the same obsession and grab it before I could.
Literally the day after Christmas we went back. Hallelijuah one was still left. Now she’s mine…
And yes…she was only $29.99.
I also got this nifty jewelry organizer from Marshalls for $9.99. I got it for my earrings because I am so over the stupid earring tree I had before. I never used it. It’s way easier to throw your earrings into a box.
Pretty pearl/irridescent plate for $3.00 from Marshall’s…now home to my jewelry on my nightstand.

here…I got two of them at only
$25. On the hunt for two smaller-ish black lampshades…checked Target, Marshalls, Ross, and Ikea to no avail…

$30. I am going to attempt to reupholster it/paint it. This is going to be a doozy of a project though.
I also need to decide if I want to do another color velvet fabric or do a fun bright colored printed fabric…
J and I are also ALL moved in! This weekend was our first official weekend in the new place and we had so much fun exploring our new town and running errands. (Before pictures to come soon…)

Oh man I miss shopping at Ross. They have such great deals and that stool certainly was an awesome deal.
Wow, you have willpower! I don't think I could have left the store without immediately buying that stool, especially for that price! And I actually have a vintage chair that looks almost identical to yours, also deciding what to do with it. I was thinking black velvet with white paint, or vice-versa.
