Summer Beauty Essentials

I stick to pretty much the same beauty routine every summer, and this is what I have found works for me…

For makeup, a bronzer is a must.  A bronzer will make your teeth look whiter and your hair look lighter, and gives you that sun-kissed look as if you just came from the beach.  I love a bright eyeshadow palette because I think summertime is one of the few seasons you can get away with wearing bright eyeshadow.  Most important part of my summer makeup routine; a bold pink or purple lip.  Do a little googling, and you will see across the board that purple & pink are preferred lip colors for making your teeth look their whitest.

I was an avid tanning-bed and laying-out tanner in my high school and college days, but the older I’ve gotten the less important it seems to have a “real” tan.  I’d rather keep my skin young and healthy.  I use sunless tanner lotions on my face and body, and find they give me that glow I’m looking for.  When using sunless tanner lotions, it’s important to remember to moisturize a lot more than you normally would, as it will pro-long the tan.
