Confession: I am never finished when it comes to decorating my own home. I recently shared my home tour on the blog and am already finding things I want to change and update. (Insanity, I know). I’m always looking for unique pieces to add, as I don’t want my place to look like you can buy it all straight out of a magazine (what’s the fun in that?!)
I’m thrilled to share Society6 with you all. Society6 is an online marketplace filled with designs by some of the most talented artists in the world, giving you an opportunity to discover a unique artwork design that you can buy printed on various types of items such as pillows, phone cases, tapestries and more.
I had the opportunity to create a curator shop filled with all of my favorite things from Society6 and I had a blast thumbing through all of the artist’s pages and finding so many pretty things. I find myself adding new items to it all the time because new artists come out, or some of my favorite existing artists will add new prints — it’s such an exciting and fun way to support artists and decorate your home at the same time.
Since it’s hard to know what you’re getting when you order online, I wanted to show you guys some of my favorite pieces and my thoughts on them.
This black and white striped laptop case instantly stood out to me. I have a minor (read: major) obsession with all things black and white striped, and I was looking for a laptop case that would have some personality but also be professional enough to use for business purposes.
I love the clean look of marble and love that this phone case still has a pop of gold (I love my gold iPhone). It’s a nice change from my standard clear case.
There is something about a coffee mug with a cool design that really brightens my day. Maybe that’s because the coffee that’s in it also literally brightens my day, but drinking it out a cool mug makes it that much more fun. I stopped in my tracks when I saw this gorgeous floral print and knew it would look stunning on a mug. I’m currently designing my office space and while it seem silly to think of how a coffee mug will enhance the space, I really think this is such a perfect little addition. It’s a touch of art in an unexpected place.
Speaking of my new office, I have been on the hunt for an abstract piece that would be chic and sophisticated while still being fun. I went through so many different black and white abstract pieces on Society6 and was so pleased at the selection. It’s so nice to be able to type in exactly what you are looking for and get a ton of different versions of it from different artists. This one spoke to me the most and I can’t wait to hang it in my office.
If you saw my home tour, you can probably gather that I love a banana leaf print immensely due to the fact I covered a whole bathroom with it. I’ve been needing a small rug for my kitchen and when I saw this rug I knew it would be the perfect pop of color in an otherwise black and white kitchen. I love how it ties in with my banana leaf bathroom, giving the house a nice flow and cohesive feeling.
You can shop all of these items, and more of my favorites HERE. Be sure to come back and comment below with what your favorite item in my shop is!
