One Room Challenge | Week 3 & 4

Well hello there!  Why yes, I did indeed fail to post my week 3 of the ORC last week.  My sincerest apologies if you are following along – I had a crazy busy week last week.  Luckily this week I have quite a few updates for you!
First up I have pictures of my favorite part of the room – the reclaimed wood desk.  The desk is something we had custom made by Dendro Co. and it blew our minds.  One of the shop owners Tara was extremely helpful through the whole process and helped up put our vision to life.  We needed something sturdy and a very particular size, and really wanted the reclaimed wood look while still being practical.  The legs are made of steel pipes and the desk top is sealed with a clear matte finish, which protects from food & liquid stains and enhances the grains.
We knew it was going to be good because everything on their site is amazing but I don’t think we could have anticipated the quality.  The desk comes with a lifetime warranty but I don’t think we will ever need to use it because it seems like it will last longer than lifetime.

The next item is the art above the daybed.  I haven’t decided if its too small for the wall… we are definitely going to keep it but maybe I need a couple of other pieces?  What do you guys think?

I love the bull for so many reasons – I think it’s empowering and whether you want to interpret it as charging on, or standing your ground, I think it’s a good message for an office space.
The photo is from Minted called Staredown (size 24×18) and the frame from Amazon.  To be honest the frame isn’t the best quality but it was really affordable and looks good when it’s hung up.  You can only tell the quality when you’re holding it because it’s a super lightweight plated plywood, but on the wall it looks really nice.  Let me know what you guys think about the size… I’m in a pickle.
We purchased the Vittsjo bookshelf and I’m just working on styling it.  We really need to get an office chair and I’ll be feeling much better.  Right now we are using a spare dining room chair that I’ve yet to get re-covered for the dining room.

Make sure you guys check out all the other people linking up here!

Great desk and color on the walls! Who knew an ell shaped desk could be so chic?! Bull looks very good on walls. It looks a little small for over the daybed but maybe it's just the angle of the shot. Perhaps a gallery wall with some other pieces to balance the scale or maybe hanging it over by the desk area? Or maybe hung just a little lower. Thinking out loud here.

That desk is amazing. The picture is small over the bed. I'm sure you could add a few fun picture to add with the bull one.
