Those three words have consumed me ever since we moved in. You see, we have a ginormous (is that even a word?) wall in our living room….right behind the couch…sky high ceilings. We have been contemplating what to put there ever since day 1.
Do we take a picture, blow it up and DIY it on a canvas or wood? Do we DIY a piece of art all together? Do we try to find something cheap but cool? (this has yet to happen…every cheap art looks…well cheap) Or do we splurge on a really cool print?
It’s still completely up in the air but I keep coming across some amazing prints that have me leaning that direction.
As you can see… I’m all over the map. I think I’m sold on neutral colors though, seeing as how the living room already has a lot of bold pieces. Get a glimpse of the couch/side table/pillows here.
What would you do in my situation? Splurge on a print like one of the above or take your own photo/paint your own art and DIY it?

I would diy it but I wish I could afford to just buy whatever art I wanted. Oh art, why so expensive!?
I love all of those. I'm having a similar problem, I'm horrible with decorating and don't know what to put on my walls!
I love all of these options, and I struggle with the same thing as well. If you're going to buy it, it's probably going to be expensive so it's smart to take your time and make sure it's something that you really like and will use for a long time. A DIY piece would definitely be cool. And major props to you if you can do that, because I definitely can't! 🙂

Large pictures are always soo expensive. I love the picture of the 10 horses you put in your post, but that is only an 8×10 – no where near the size you would need to put behind the couch. Surely you can find something at Homegoods, no?
I would definitely print a few of your favorite photographs. You'll take more that you fall in love with and will be able to spend less than $10 🙂

The Power of 10 print is gorgeous! I really think it would be a calming piece in a living room or bedroom that was all or mostly white/beige. Cute choices!! I'm a new follower 🙂

Have you ever tried 20×200? You get a coupon code when you sign up and all the art is original.
When we moved into our first place I jumped on the stock art and soon regretted it. Deal with the blank walls while you wait for the perfect piece!
