As much as I love blogging myself, I also love reading blogs at the same time — it’s how I started in the first place! (A little more on that story here). One thing I love about blogs is the constant flow of new fashion inspiration — I never feel uninspired! That being said, it can sometimes feel overwhelming as though you need to have a 100% completely new outfit all the time, which is just not feasible.
This outfit is completely made up of pieces you have already seen before… (jacket here, top here, skirt here… and the accessories all over the place). I want you guys to know how important it is to find basic pieces that you love and can mix & match in your own closet! It will make getting ready so much easier, and eliminate a lot of the clutter in your wardrobe. I’ve personally found this plaid coat, white bell sleeve top, and faux leather skirt to be essentials that I can can wear in so many different outfit combinations.
Comment below with the closet piece you’re always wearing on repeat — I’d love to know what basics you always go back to!

Thanks Ellie! You’re so sweet! 🙂
I have a few black and white striped tunics from Old Navy that I ALWAYS wear. They go with pretty much any skinny pant, can be tucked into skirts, and have side slits so they’re flattering. not to mention everything goes with black and white stripes. I agree that its hard with a lot of inspiration in blogs but I’m trying to focus more on better pieces I can remix.
